I have always been mesmerised by how ballerinas move so effortlessly and have immeasurable strength and flexibility, in this photo series my aim is to portray my dancers as the strong breathtaking individuals that they are.
I've created shallow depth of field in my images by using a low aperture, and used mainly low angles to capture my subject creating the sense of strength and empowerment.
Through out this series I have used natural sun light to create a warm natural glow to the images. I’ve used the sun behind the model creating sun glares and silhouettes, and the sun positioned in front to create direct lighting upon the dancer.
These photos have all been taken in Chester; Grosvenor Park, Chester City Centre and Queens Park Bridge.
