My aim with this photoshoot was to produce commercial fashion photographic imagery, featuring the beautiful clothing of Kita May Designs. Drawing on influences from Cindy Sherman, I utilised low camera angles in an urban environment and used a female protagonist to drive the narrative. Inspired by Vivian Maier, I experimented with the use of reflections and focusing on line and shape in my surroundings.
I used natural and ambient lighting, to create a more natural and candid effect in street photography, rather than using speedlites. I used F-stop between 2 - 4.5, rather than 1.2 as I still wanted the background to be visible. I edited my images in Adobe Lightroom, very little was changed from the original images - I simply enhanced the colours and exposure slightly.
The locations I chose were: Central Chester, Chester Wall, and Storyhouse.
